Meet Jo: Paris Salon Owner

"My entrepreneurial spirit was born under the South African sun, where I started my first ventures in baking, jewellry, and clothing design. As a woman in business, my path has been anything but conventional – and that's exactly what makes it powerful. From being invited to Google Headquarters' Hack The Gender symposium for my tech startup to launching my own beverage company, and later spearheading the branding behind Canada's first micro-refinery since the 1970s (leading a 40+ member team), I've learned that innovation knows no boundaries.

My global journey from South Africa to Connecticut – with chapters in Los Angeles, Ireland, the UK, and Canada – has enriched my perspective and shaped my approach to business in ways I never imagined. 

Today, as the owner of Paris Salon in Ridgefield, CT, I'm channeling two decades of corporate and entrepreneurial experience into creating something truly special. With an all-female team, we're not just providing beauty services – we're revolutionizing the industry's approach to customer service and business operations. My international journey has taught me that female entrepreneurship isn't about fitting into existing molds – it's about breaking them and creating new ones.
